I am a "stay at home" wife and mom of 2 lovely daughters, Kaleigh - 16, and
Brianna - 15. Kaleigh is the Irish dancer in the family while Brianna is busy in
4-H and dog showing with her beautiful Border Collie, Flint. When Kaleigh was ready for her first solo costume, I knew I needed to find a way to cut the cost of these very expensive dresses. I approached the one person whom I knew could handle the challenge of creating one of these very ornate and complex dresses, my Aunt Necia Amos. Necia was up for the challenge after getting approval from our dance teacher. The next step was coming up with a design! This was all new to me but I also
felt up to the challenge. So after looking at photos of up to date solo dresses,
I started sketching. That first design took quite awhile to finish, but it
turned out wonderful. We received numerous compliments on the dress every time
Kaleigh went to a feis. Within a year, I started having people contact me asking if I would design a
dress for them. It has become a steady business ever since! I really enjoy working one-on-one with each client to help create their "dream dress". Experience I have been creating custom designs for about 3 years now. I work with individuals, whether it be a mom who is making the dress herself or having it made by a dressmaker. I also am currently working with several dressmakers. For the dressmakers, I can create a custom design for their client or create an "exclusive" line of designs specifically for the dressmaker to use as repeatable designs.
